Research, Services & Procedures Radiation Oncology Unlike most radiotherapy facilities, the Radiation Oncology Department at the Thompson Cancer Survival Center conducts and publishes original clinical research. This allows cancer patients in our community to have access to treatment options that otherwise would not be available for many years. A variety of FDA (510K) approved treatments are offered at the Thompson Center that are currently only offered at a handful of large research facilities.
