Medical Physics Residency Program
Radiation Oncology
In August 1996, a joint Medical Physics program was established between the University of Tennessee Department of Nuclear Engineering and the Thompson Cancer Survival Center Department of Radiation Oncology. Through the University, MS and PhD degrees are available in Nuclear Engineering with a Major Emphasis in Medical Physics. In addition, a clinical medical physics residency program is available at Thompson. All graduates from the Medical Physics program at the University are required to complete 1 to 3 years of additional clinical training in this program.
