 Thompson facilities are leaders in chemotherapy. All of the proven drug-based treatments and access to the latest clinical trial medicines assure that each patient receives the most effective treatment. Thompson offers a multidisciplinary team approach to the most advanced cancer treatment. Eight full-time board-certified oncologists and four certified nurse practitioners deliver on-site care in the ambulatory setting. The medical oncologists at Thompson Cancer Survival Center are credentialed physicians in the M. D. Anderson Physicians Network ®. The nurses have received special training in oncology nursing so that they have a better understanding of the unique healthcare needs of the cancer patient.
