Thompson Cancer Surivival Center at Methodist
Thompson Cancer Survival Center at Methodist and Cancer Support Community of East Tennessee are teaming up to bring six cancer support programs to the Oak Ridge Area in 2018. The free programs will include a light dinner, resource information, Q and A with a licensed clinical social worker, as well as social time for attendees to meet other cancer patients and their families.
Emotional distress with cancer is common. Debra Sullivan, PhD, clinical psychologist at Cancer Support Community, will talk about the signs of depression and anxiety and how your thoughts and actions can help or hurt you. This program focuses on making more experiences good and making less experiences bad.
